Where our odds come from

We ingest live odds directly from the feeds of the major sportsbooks we cover. Each book is polled continuously throughout the day, so the prices you see track the market in close to real time rather than being entered by hand.

Because every book structures its data differently, we don't take any single book's labelling at face value — we re-derive each match and outcome ourselves.

How we match the same game across books

Different sportsbooks name teams, leagues and markets in different ways. We normalise every event under a single canonical key — built from the sport, league, date and the two teams — so the same fixture is recognised across every book. That canonical matching is what makes a true side-by-side comparison possible.

What “best price” means

For each outcome we highlight the highest decimal odds on offer, but only when at least two books are quoting that market — a lone price has nothing to compare against. We show the implied probability alongside the odds so you can see what a price actually means.

How fresh the data is

Odds move constantly. We timestamp every price and show how recently each book was updated, and we down-weight or hide books whose prices have gone stale so you aren't comparing against an out-of-date line. Always confirm the live price with the sportsbook before you bet.

Our independence

Oddsator is not owned by any sportsbook. When you sign up with a book through one of our links we may earn a commission, but this never changes the odds we display or the order of our comparisons — best price always comes first. We do not accept payment to rank a book higher.

What we don't do

We are a comparison and information service. We never take, place or facilitate bets, and nothing on Oddsator is betting or financial advice.
